What is a building automation system (BAS)?
A building automation system is the network of controllers, sensors and software that runs a building's HVAC, lighting and other equipment automatically. A well-designed BAS keeps occupants comfortable, cuts energy waste, and alerts operators to problems before they become failures.
Which building automation platforms do you work with?
We specialize in Siemens building technologies, Ignition by Inductive Automation, and the Tridium Niagara Framework (Niagara 4). Our team holds the Niagara 4 Technical Certification and Ignition Core Certification, with extensive hands-on Siemens experience. Because these platforms are open, we integrate equipment from many manufacturers over BACnet, Modbus and other standard protocols.
Can you upgrade or replace an obsolete building automation system?
Yes — modernizing legacy BAS infrastructure is one of our core services. We plan phased migrations to current platforms such as Niagara 4 so your building stays operational during the cutover, and we reuse existing wiring and field devices wherever it makes sense to control cost.
What is ASHRAE Guideline 36 and why does it matter?
ASHRAE Guideline 36 is a set of standardized, high-performance control sequences for HVAC systems. Implementing it typically improves comfort and reduces energy use without replacing mechanical equipment. We program Guideline 36 sequences on Siemens, Ignition and Niagara systems — or implement your own optimization strategies.
What areas do you serve?
We're focused on the Greater Toronto Area and take on projects across Ontario.
Do you offer emergency support?
Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency support along with preventive maintenance plans, remote monitoring and operator assistance.
How much does a building automation project cost?
Every building is different, so we scope each project individually — by system size, the condition of existing controls, and your goals. Contact us to arrange an assessment and a detailed proposal.
